Swan Bar & Restaurant, The Globe Theatre, Bankside London

Part of the Globe Theatre complex. I have not actually eaten here but, walking inquisitively through it, I had the strong impression that it was muzac-free. Wonderful location, pricey menu.

The Café at Foyles

Foyles, Britain's 'biggest bookshop', remains marvellously free of piped music. The café on the top floor is not only free of piped music but, despite the industrial-looking decor (all exposed pipes, very Bauhaus), is generally quiet. Pleasant range of snacks, teas and coffee at reasonable prices, though not a place to linger.

New Ground Cafe, Gardenstown

This is a pleasant and some unusual café in Gardenstown.
It provides a range of snacks and hot drinks.
Please note that the opening times are a bit limited - I have been on a couple of weekend days, when it was not open until 12.
As the name implies, it also serves as an art gallery, and has some some stuff to sell.
If you're in Gardenstown, I recommend a couple of short walks - one to Crovie, and the other one along the beach and then up the path to the remains of St John's church, from where the view is stunning.

The Wallingford Bookshop 10c St Martin's Street, Wallingford Oxon. OX10 0AL

A lovely independent bookshop in a quiet little historic market town on the River Thames; the staff are friendly and cheerful, knowledgeable and able to obtain ordered books much faster than most large chains. Absolutely no piped music, although the staff confess to bursting into the odd refrain when feeling particularly happy.
