This is a pub of remarkable quietness for the heart of noisy Soho. Recently refurbished, it has small intimate booths on the ground floor. Upstairs are two very pleasant traditionally furnished rooms with arm chairs, old pictures and bookcases, so making it feel more like a country house hotel than a Soho pub. Here you can eat, though not between 3 and 5pm NB . The menu is old-fashionedly English – it is a Sam Smiths pub – and reasonably priced. Staff are very friendly, the loos are spotlessly clean and, above all, there is no piped music.
